Julie's Story

“As a divorced, part-time single mum with no confidence and no money, I started to doubt every bit of myself. But I made a choice - to rebuild. Step by step, I became stronger. And through Just Strong, I found a sisterhood that reminded me: I’m not alone.” - Julie

Julie’s Journey: From Self-Doubt to Sisterhood

Julie has always had a passion for movement - especially when music’s involved.
She’s also always had a heart for helping others.

“I’ve always felt the need to inspire, help, and guide children, youths and… yeah well, people in general.”

So becoming a teacher, a fitness instructor, and a coach in personal growth felt like a natural path. But that doesn’t mean it was easy.

Julie’s story, like so many women’s, includes deep chapters of struggle - and strength.

“As an adoptive child in a country far away from where I was born, as a girl becoming a woman in an environment where the ideals were white, skinny Barbie dolls, as a divorced part-time single mom with bad economy... I started to doubt exactly every bit of myself.”

But she didn’t stay in that place.
She decided to rewrite her story - not just for herself, but for her kids.

“I wanted to be a strong, healthy and happy mom.”

So, step by step, she rebuilt herself.
Through physical and mental training. Through self-love. Through sheer persistence.

“With physical and mental training, step by step I became physically and mentally stronger, and I eventually also learned to love myself more and more.”

But something else played a big role in Julie’s transformation - connection.

“Starting to open up, sharing and talking to other women… made me realise that we need each other’s. We need to share and support.”

That need for sisterhood led her to launch her own Instagram page, a space to document her growth. And while scrolling one day, she found us.

“I came across the Just Strong community that does just that! A community where women from all over the world and with both different and the same stories empower and lift each other up.”

From the moment she joined, she felt it - the energy, the encouragement, the shared mission.

“I just had to be a part of that. And from day one, I’ve felt the support and the power of sisterhood.”

Julie continues to share her journey, both online and in real life, using her voice, experience and strength to uplift others. Her story reminds us that strength doesn’t always look like lifting weights or running marathons. Sometimes, strength is choosing to begin again.

“I don’t just LOVE the clothes, I also love everything this brand and community stands for, because it resonates with what I stand for…”
